Ahmed Hamila is assistant professor of sociology of migrations Université de Montréal (Canada). His research interests include the asylum policies, gender and sexuality, human rights and migration studies. He has been invited as a visiting researcher at University of Victoria (Canada), Sciences Po Paris (France), University of Warwick (UK), as well as a Wiener-Anspach Fellow at both University of Oxford (UK) and University of Cambridge (UK).
