Verena Stern is Research Associate and Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Sociology, Bielefeld University, Germany. She works on a research project about local reactions to refugees in Germany. Her doctoral thesis examines protests against refugees in Germany with a focus on the coalitions between protest actors of the far-right and the more conservative political spectrum.
