Serge Jaumain

Serge Jaumain graduated at the University of Ottawa and the Université libre de Bruxelles, He is full professor of contemporary history at the ULB,  chairman of the Brussels Studies Institute and co-chairman of AmericaS- the Interdisciplinary Centre for the Study of the Americas.

His main research topics are the history of the relations between Europe and North America, the history of tourism, the study of universal exhibitions and the history of mass distribution.

He has written or directed some thirty books and received various distinctions, including the Governor General's International Award of Canada and the Insigne du Mérite de la Faculté des Art of the Université de Montréal.
