Simon Happersberger is a PhD candidate in political science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a PhD fellow at the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies. In his PhD, he investigates the effectiveness of EU policy instruments in the trade-environment nexus. His research is financed by the FWO Research Foundation Flanders.
