Elia Bescotti is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Science Campus "Europe and America in the Modern World" in Regensburg, Germany. He holds a Doctoral degree in Political Science at Université libre de Bruxelles. His research interests include conflict dynamics in the post-Soviet space, such as deterrence, secession, state recognition and sovereignty, as well as critical security studies. He is also a DAAD and Wiener-Anspach alumnus, with research experiences at Leibniz IOS in Regensburg and at the University of Oxford.
